Below is an example of a digital story of mine that I created last year.
Assignment 1
Decide on a topic for a digital story that you will create that is in some way related to your topic of choice for this course. Download and print the storyboard template and plan your story. You can use simple sketches of images in the boxes, or a description of the image; you may also want to include a location for your images. Use the lines below each box to begin planning your script. Your finished digital story should be a minimum of 20 images and at least 3 minutes in length. At least 5 of the images must be your own photos.
This storyboard assignment must be completed by the first Friday of this module at the latest, and will be checked by Mr. Knull in class. Scoring Rubric |
Assignment 2
Using Photo Story 3, create a digital story that is at least 20 images and 3 minutes in length. At least 5 images must be your own photos that you have taken. Your digital story should be in some way related to your topic for this course and should tell a complete story. The message of your digital story is up to you, but it should be related to your topic.
Once completed, you should upload your digital story to your SchoolTube account and use the embed code to embed your digital story into your Weebly site on a new page titled "Digital Story." Please plan on leaving enough time to upload your video to SchoolTube. Sometimes it can take some time to convert your file and be approved and published online. Scoring Rubric |

This Module's Blog Theme: Open
In your blog posts for this module, you can feel free to blog on your topic with any theme you would like. As you are planning and writing your blog, however, remember that a quality blog post should move your audience. Whether it is an argument, an observation, a summary, or a call to action, it should be thought provoking and well written with obvious thought behind it.
