Assignment 1
Locate at least two online digital videos that are related to your topic and embed them in a new page in your Weebly site titled "Videos." You must find videos that have an HTML embed code and use the custom HTML element to put them in your Weebly page. Each video should be accompanied by a brief paragraph explaining the video as well as a citation of the video. You can find a list of video hosting sites by clicking here or here.
This assignment must be completed by the first Friday of this module. Scoring Rubric |
Assignment 2
Decide on a topic for a digital video that you will create that is in some way related to your topic of choice for this course. Download and print the storyboard template and plan your story. You can use simple sketches of proposed footage in the boxes, or a description of the footage. Use the lines below each box to begin planning your script or other details of your video. Your finished digital video should be at least 2 minutes in length, so plan accordingly.
You may choose to work with a partner or in small groups on Assignments 2 and 3. If you plan on working with a group, you must approve this with Mr. Knull before the first Wednesday of this module. This storyboard assignment must be completed by the first Friday of this module at the latest, and will be checked by Mr. Knull in class. Scoring Rubric |
Assignment 3
Using FLIP Cameras and Windows Movie Maker, record and edit a digital video that is at least 2 minutes in length. Your digital video should be in some way related to your topic for this course and should serve a purpose related to this topic. Your video should be properly edited using Windows Movie Maker to include opening and closing credits and transitions between segments. Once completed, you should upload your digital video to your SchoolTube account and use the embed code to embed your digital video into your Weebly site on the page titled "Videos."
If you choose to work with a group on this assignment, you only need to upload the video once, but it should be embedded in each group member's Weebly site.
Please plan on leaving enough time to upload your video to SchoolTube. Sometimes it can take some time to convert your file and be approved and published online.
You can view an example of my own created last year as an example of a Math instructional video edited with Windows Movie Maker.
