Reading Assignments and Other Resources
In this module we will be investigating online presentations, specifically through the use of SlideShare. Your reading assignment is below along with the video and presentations.
- Brian Kelly Slideshows - http://opus.bath.ac.uk/18605/1/chapter-18.pdf
- Visit http://www.slideshare.net/ and browse around to view others' uploads. The "Featured" box is a great place to start, or do a search for presentations related to your topic.

Assignment 1
Using Microsoft PowerPoint, create an original presentation (minimum 12 slides, not including the title slide) about your chosen topic. You do not need to add any animations or transitions, but you should definitely incorporate images, just make sure they are usable images and that they are cited appropriately.
Upload your presentation to SlideShare, and fill in the appropriate details including a license type, see my tutorial to the right. Once your presentation is uploaded and converted, use the HTML embed code along with the custom HTML tool in Weebly to embed your presentation on a new page in your site titled "Presentation." This Week's Blog Theme: Explain
In your blog post for this week, choose something related to your topic to explain to your audience, in enough detail that someone with no knowledge of your topic can understand it. There is no "required length" for your post, but your writing should be long enough, and thorough enough, to explain your subject/issue completely to your audience.
